Courtney and Dustin’s Fabulous Theatrical Wedding!

Oh, dear–I don’t even know where to begin with this one!  Courtney and Dustin tied the knot at Glassworks on Sunday, October 26–it was a breezy and lovely afternoon and every minute of it was incredible!

I have known Courtney for several years–as a matter of fact, she was a drama student and speech team competitor for me many years ago when I taught theatre at Bowling Green High School.  She has followed her dream of being a working musical theatre actress and I am so very proud of her.  Dustin is also an accomplished singer and actor and they actually try to work together as much as possible!  They even toured together on a cruise ship while trying to plan their wedding!

So, when Courtney called me and asked us to photograph their Glassworks wedding, I couldn’t refuse!  And it was just as wonderful as I thought it would be–bright colors, incredible energy, tons of talent and music–and of course, some of the most amazing wedding images we have ever gotten!  With a group of people who love being in the limelight, how could it be anything other than an afternoon of great images and laughter!

And be sure to check out their image music video–I love the song on it!

And prepare for a TON of my favorites–there were just so many memorable moments that I can’t resist posting many of them!

Can you believe that the flowers were done by Costco?  No kidding–they were gorgeous!

Preparing the bride–and I love the shadow of her matron-of-honor’s face (that’s Maureen) in this image!  And Courtney has the most beautiful complexion and gorgeous red hair–she really looked like something out of a Jane Austen novel (with a modern twist)!

Love this one on the rooftop!

Gorgeous gown, gorgeous sky, gorgeous bride!

See?  I can’t stop posting images of Courtney?  I love this one, too!  It has great movement to it!

And then things got a little crazy with Robert (Courtney’s “man of honor” and Maureen the “married maid of honor,” both of whom I have known since their days at Bowling Green High).  Fun!

Look, when the guys are in the alley pretending to get arrested–Jon doesn’t ask questions.  He just shoots the images.

And trust me–when they all start performing a little scene from “West Side Story,” you have to get those shots, too!  So funny!

In the loft at Glassworks…

Instead of the average program for the wedding, Dustin and Courtney did a cast list like a theatre program!  Awesome!  All of the folks in the bridal party had bios!

It is so funny when the preacher actually gets in on the old “I’m gonna act like I’m running away” shot–we normally don’t do this one, but when you have a bunch of actors in the mix plus a willing participant of an officiant, you gotta do it!

Before dad gave his daughter away…

The lovely ceremony…

And Dustin’s brother (who is a successful musician and singer in New Zealand) performed a classic Cole Porter tune during the ceremony…

Everyone was wanting a jump shot at our last few 2008 weddings–and I have to say that his one may take the cake!  Check out the air time PLUS the facial expressions!

So moody…love it!

A big finish musical-theatre style!

Courtney and Dustin painted these pumpkins themselves–they went together perfectly with the orange and yellow theme!

And their Muppet musical theatre-themed cake from Leah Stewart of Gallery House…

A fun shot with the Wulfe Brothers Band–Dustin’s dad’s group!

First dance…

Robert gave a wonderful speech on our happy couple…

Courtney made a great Vanna White and presented the wedding cake to the guests…

Honestly, I have no idea what was going on here…

One of the surprise moments of the reception–one of the groomsmen had White Castles served to everyone–and they were a huge hit!

Hammin’ it up for the camera!

And here I am with the Bowling Green High crew–Maureen, Me, Courtney, Dustin, and Robert–man, I look tired!

We had a little fake exit performance in true theatre fashion–fun!

Thanks to Courtney and Dustin, as well as the rest of the gang!  We wish you many years of love and laughter!
