Today, I wanted to feature another 2011 HS Senior!  This is Dominic–or Dom, for short!  He is such a talented, wonderful, and awesomely spiritual young man.  He is really going to make his mark on this world and we absolutely loved his portrait session images!

Jonathan and I are so happy to feature our very first 2011 Monarch HS Senior!  We had a blast photographing Karah’s portrait session at her home and at Farnsley-Moremen Landing here in Louisville!

We have known Karah ever since we photographed the wedding of her sister, Kelly!  Since then, we have loved keeping in touch with their family. We were so honored to be the studio to photograph Karah’s HS senior portraits!  She is so beautiful and full of laughter and personality!  So, I am THRILLED that Karah was our first official 2011 HS Senior!  Go, Karah!

We have been wanting to share this special honor for quite a while, but it has just been so busy that it is the first chance I have had to post the good news!

A few months ago, we got a call from one of the writers for “American Photo” Magazine.  She said that the editor had checked out our web site and loved the work we do with our High School Seniors!  So, we submitted some images and were invited to participate in a feature they were doing on HS Senior Portrait Photography!

I (Rosemary) had a one-hour interview on how Jonathan and I photograph our seniors, our signature style, etc.  And the article came out a few weeks ago!  So happy about being featured in such an awesome, nationally-known photographic publication!

Well, here he is!  The final 2010 HS Senior to feature!  We already have several 2011 HS seniors to post, so let’s get on with this feature of Connor!

Connor just graduated from North Oldham and is sure to be a success with his college studies at Bellarmine this coming fall!  He is a wonderful student, athlete, and musician!  And he comes from one of the greatest families we have ever had the honor to know!

AND!  There is something really special about Connor’s senior portrait session, but I will feature that SOON!

Today’s feature is all about the beautiful, talented, and fabulous Carly!  We were so lucky that the rain held off long enough for us to photograph the outdoor images and then we ran to the home studio for more!

I adore Carly’s images and have been wanting to share them for quite a while!  She just graduated from North Oldham High School and will be pursuing a career in the sciences (marine biology if memory serves) this fall!  Congrats, Carly!

As I continue to finish showcasing our 2010 HS seniors (who will soon head off to college), I wanted to share Briona’s awesome portrait session with you!

We go out of our way to give our HS seniors an editorial photographic experience. Not only do we do a combination of edgy and classic styles (to please both our seniors AND their parents), but we re-touch every single image and make sure that our seniors look their absolute best!

Bri is gorgeous and is an incredible singer, too! We were so honored to photograph her HS senior portraits, and we knew that she would love a combination of urban downtown shots, as well as classic in-studio images! We love the results!

WOW!  That’s really all I can say about Nicole’s session–she is just lovely with a sharp wit and a wonderfully playful personality!  And we want to wish her the best as she heads off to college this fall!  She is certainly going to have a bright future ahead of her!

We spent some time both in-studio and at our little creek and portrait park and it was perfect weather!  We take plenty of time with our HS seniors to give everyone in the family their favorite types of portraits–from edgy to classic, we do it all!

As I wind down on our 2010 HS Senior portrait highlights, I wanted to invite our 2011 graduating class to choose our studio for their senior portraits as well!  We take great pride in giving a variety of images, ranging from classic to edgy and editorial.  So become a Monarch senior this year!

Hunter came in for his 2010 HS senior portraits–he just graduated from YPAS and is a really cool guy.  He works in technical theatre, loves collecting swords and weaponry, and was just a great client for us!  Love his style and I really love the images with his guitar!

Hunter really liked darker, more dramatic images, so we gave him exactly what he wanted!

And we even got some images with his sweet mom, Kimberly!  Those images of mother and son will be good to have when Hunter leaves for college this year!

I still have a few 2010 HS seniors to feature, along with a ton of weddings, families, and engagements!  So keep checking for many blog posts coming up over the summer months!

Today, I wanted to feature 2010 graduate Jonathan–he is a talented student and even an accomplished competitive ballroom dancer!  While photographer Jonathan was re-setting the studio lights, HS senior Jonathan took me (Rosemary) for a small turn on the studio floor!  What a talent!

We did everything super-simple and all in-studio because the weather took a bad turn right at the session time, but we got great images and everything worked out perfectly!

Congrats on graduation!

I wanted to finish up our fabulous 2010 HS Seniors before we start on the Class of 2011!  Kathleen had a gorgeous session and we loved every minute of it!  Kathleen is headed to Ohio State this coming fall and is a gifted actress, singer, and student!  She is such a talent and was a treat to photograph.  I have known Kathleen since she was in the 6th grade and it was an honor to be the one to photograph her HS senior session!
